The Sunbeam MixMaster Stand Mixer is a good entry level mixer to add to your kitchen, while it doesn’t have a lot of fancy features, the 12 speed settings should give you enough room for a wide range recipes. The soft start mixing function is also helpful especially if you don’t have a lot of experience baking, it ensures that the mix won’t spatter in your kitchen countertop when you hit the start switch. Clean up is also very easy for the Sunbeam MixMaster, the beaters are easy to load into dishwashers. The design and shape of the beaters are very thoughtful, there is not a lot of crevices for food to get stuck in, so it helps the clean up. The tilt-back head mechanism is very handy as well.

There are a couple of things that you need to be aware of with the Sunbeam MixMaster, they are little inconveniences but very livable, but you need to aware of them nevertheless. You won’t be able to turn up the speed and walk away from the mixer, you need to attend to it. You may need to hold the bowl when you notice that the mix is packing up in the mixer blades, it’s a little thing and probably not a big deal for a lot of people, but it could be a big deal for you. Some models of this mixer comes metal mixing blades, some models comes with plastic tips at the end of the mixing blade, so if you have a thing against plastic parts and worry about durability, you need to be aware of this.

Overall, the Sunbeam MixMaster Stand Mixer is recommended for occasional chefs, if you only do light duty mixing, whipping and kneading, then this mixer is perfect for you, you don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars for a mixer that you will use lightly. This is good starter kit for newlyweds also, if you will just bake cookies and cake mixes, no need to spend a lot of money for a mixer, in fact, you might just want to wait for this mixer to show up as a gift, as it is an excellent gift idea.
